Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-09-04

The Daynote app is free. This policy applies to the paid cloud sync subscription. It rests on three rules: try before you pay, cancel whenever you like, and your notes are never deleted.

Try it for 14 days first

Signing up starts a 14-day free trial and requires no card. When the trial ends, only the syncing stops. If it is not for you, do nothing; you will not be charged.

Cancel any time

You can cancel from the app's settings or from Paddle's customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; syncing continues until the period you already paid for ends. After cancellation the notes on your PC stay where they are, and the copy uploaded to the Service is kept too.

Refunds

Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record, and refunds are issued through Paddle. We refund in full on request in the following cases:

  • The request is made within 14 days of the first charge. No reason needed.
  • The request is made within 14 days of an automatic renewal and sync was not used after the renewal.
  • A service outage prevented syncing for a substantial part of a billing period. We refund the outage period or, on request, the full period.
  • Duplicate charges or billing errors.

We also review requests that fall outside these cases. Pro-rata refunds for partially used periods are not guaranteed, but tell us what happened and we will look for a way.

How to request one

Email aracube@gmail.com with the address you paid with and the receipt number from Paddle's email. We answer within 3 business days. You can also ask Paddle directly through the link in your Paddle receipt. Once approved, a refund can take 5 to 10 business days to appear, which is the card network's and bank's processing time.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits the rights that consumer protection law guarantees you. Where the law grants more, the law prevails.
